The “Portrait of a Fangirl Podcast” is a new series from the team at the Temple of Geek. Portrait of a Fangirl initially began as a web series and has now expanded into a podcast series as well. Being a fangirl looks different to each person. In this episode, Kayleigh discussed her early formative memories of fandom and how they shaped her as a person:
When I was five or six, [my dad] showed me Trigun and Cowboy Bebop. I would say the first things that I full on fangirled about would’ve been Pokémon, Digimon, Trigun and Full Metal Alchemist.
Those were my first fandoms, and where I realized ‘oh my god, I love these. I want to share and talk about it with people.’

Kayleigh McKee is the voice behind Yuta Okkotsu (Jujutsu Kaisen 0), Pina (Beastars), Kikunojo (One Piece), Tasuku Kuresawa (Sasaki and Miyano), as well as many more. She is an artist and writer and an avid fan of Dungeons and Dragons.
